Final Sentence
Psychological horror
Composed the original music for a psychological horror–driven typing battle royale, where tension is built not through action, but through precision, pressure, and the constant threat of failure. The soundtrack focuses on creating a dense, suspenseful atmosphere, supporting the game’s core mechanic — typing under extreme stress. Emphasis was placed on minimalism, tension-building textures, and controlled dynamics, allowing the player’s focus to remain on input accuracy while reinforcing psychological pressure. Designed music that amplifies anticipation and discomfort, using subtle rhythmic elements, ambient layers, and evolving tonal structures to mirror the player’s rising anxiety. The audio direction supports a feeling of inevitability and fragility, where even a single mistake can lead to failure, enhancing immersion and emotional intensity. The approach avoids traditional musical payoff or release, instead maintaining a sustained level of tension throughout the experience. The music subtly reacts to the pacing of gameplay, reinforcing cognitive load and emotional pressure without overwhelming the player’s focus. This results in a restrained yet deeply immersive sonic layer that enhances the uniqueness of the gameplay and its psychological impact.
The soundtrack is built around a balance between tension and control, where each track is designed to support both the mechanical clarity of gameplay and the emotional weight of survival. Rhythmic structures and layered textures are carefully shaped to enhance player focus during high-pressure moments, while more ambient passages create space for exploration and anticipation. Rather than overpowering the experience, the music works as an integral part of the game system — subtly guiding the player through its pacing, reinforcing transitions between states, and maintaining a cohesive sonic identity throughout each run.
